Rider's Austin Hagy Signs to Murray State College

Austin Hagy became the second Rider Raider baseball player this year to sign with Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

He joins teammate David Pewenofkit in becoming Aggies.

Hagy had a solid junior season last year for the Raiders, pitching to a 2-1 record and 2.79 ERA while and batting .333 with seven doubles and 20 RBI, second-most on the team.

He said his experiences at Rider helped get him ready for the next level.

"It's gotten me real ready," Hagy said. "Coach Green knows what he's doing, and he knows the college level. Throughout the four years I've been here we've made playoffs every year, and we're looking to do it again this year."

The Raiders will continue their season Thursday morning in the American Cancer Society Tournament.

They will play Vernon in Burkburnett at 11:15 a.m.
