The father and his three-year-old daughter who were killed in a tragic accident on FM 1954 were laid to rest Tuesday.
Hundreds of friends and family packed the Texoma Cowboy Church to celebrate the life of 39-year-old Thomas "Gene" Chesser and his daughter Jenna.
"Gene was a real good guy. I really liked Gene, and I think anyone who knew him, liked him too," said Roy Holbrook, a friend of Gene's.
Because Gene was a car enthusiast, Holbrook and other antique car owners joined the procession leading from the church to the cemetery.
The pastor, Eddie Klump, shared memories of Gene and Jenna and even made the gathering laugh through their tears at some points.
"(Gene) lived for his family. He lived for doing right, being right, standing up right," said Klump. "When (Jenna) passed away, her soul went immediately into heaven."
The services ended at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park.
The family has requested memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
