Rider's Caitlin White Signs With St. Gregory's

Rider senior Caitlin White will continue her basketball career at the next level, by signing with St. Gregory's University.

"I'm been stressing out all year about where I'm going to play," she said. "It's great to know that I finally know where I'm going to go."

White was a key part of the rotation this season, helping space the floor for slashers like Taliyah Brooks. She shot above 40 percent from behind the 3-pt line. She says she'll have a similar role next season.

The Cavaliers play in the NAIA's Sooner Athletic Conference in Shawnee, Oklahoma, a two-and-a-half hour drive from Wichita Falls.

"I'm just really glad my parents can watch me play," she said.

Rider set a school-record in wins, before falling to Granbury in the Area Round this past season.

Critics say the NFL's decision to force players to stand during the national anthem if on the field say the policy prioritizes the league's mainstream appeal over athletes.
