A 25-year-old man listed 'At Large,' arrested, and charged with injury to a child posted bail. A 2-year-old had injures to the right side of his face after not wanting to make his bed.
The victim's mother said the child had been crying, causing Ramirez to wake up, and spank the child. The mother later noticed red marks on his face, and when she asked the child what happened, the victim said, "Daddy did it." She said Ramirez admitted to the spanking.
The Wichita Falls Police Department said in an affidavit, "Any reasonable people would not expect a 2-year-old to properly make a bed. Though the use of force against a child younger than 18 is justified, striking a 2-year-old to the face by any amount of force as discipline exceeds the amount of force necessary."
