The Air Force has canceled all aviation support at public events due to budget cuts.
In previous years Sheppard Air Force Base has hosed its Biennial Air Show in odd-numbered years, and Freedom Fest in between. Sheppard PIO George Woodward said that there is a possibility of having a show in 2014.
They are going to re-evaluate the program so there are no cancellations in the future. Cancellation of flying activities doesn't pertain to the flying missions of the base. The training missions were made a priority at the base.
