Joe Montana to Visit Wichita Falls Sunday

The Wichita Falls Nighthawks are getting set for their third home game of the season, with another big-name guest coming to town.

NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana will be in Wichita Falls this weekend for the Nighthawks' game against the Dallas Trojans.

Fans can go to a lunch with Montana Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at The Wellington, and tickets to that are just $99, which is half the cost of the lunch with Tim Tebow for the team's first game.

Then at the game, twice as many fans will be chosen to meet Montana as got to meet Tebow!

"With Joe, we're handing out forty VIP meet-and-greet passes," Nighthawks GM Jerry Hughes said Wednesday. "So, forty lucky winners are going to go hang out with him, get pictures with him, autographs, and just have some conversation with him."

Meanwhile, the matchup on the field will have the 3-1 Dallas Trojans coming to Memorial Stadium. They'll be trying to bounce back after taking their first loss of the season last week against the North Texas Stampede.

For the season, Dallas has outscored opponents by a combined score of 112-79, but the Nighthawks have a total score of 214 to 27.

A couple of earlier exhibition wins pushes Dallas's record to 5-1. Hughes says they'll be confident coming in, but his team is, too.

"You know, they're coming in 5-1, so they're fired up. You know obviously we're not going to slow down or give up a game, so we're excited to have them come in and we're excited to get another win and that's what we're going to do."

General Admission tickets are $10 and can be bought at the gate or at the Nighthawks' team shop in Parker Square in Wichita Falls. Each ticket enters fans into the drawing to meet Montana.
