Vernon College students will be paying a little extra this year.
Vernon College's President Dusty Johnston told Newschannel 6 the school isn't raising tuition costs. Instead, they will be increasing institutional service fees. These fees include facility, technology, laboratory, and student activities costs.
The costs are $5 extra per semester credit hours, rounding to about 3.2% more in fees.
Johnston said the school is increasing its fees because of reduced support from the state.
