Old High vs. Rider Baseball

The Wichita Falls Coyotes and the Rider Raiders played part two of an important district game this afternoon at Hoskins field. Last night's game was suspended due to lightning.

The Coyotes would start the game with a 3-1 lead in the top of the 5th inning. After two great defensive plays by Dylan Hutcheson, the Raiders would get their shot at a comeback in the top of the 6th. Hayden Proctor would drive in Nick Russell and the Raiders are down 3-2.

But, the Coyotes would answer in the bottom of the inning. Bucky Dawes would drive in Hayden Russell, extending the lead 4-2. Pete Thomas would close out the Raiders in the top of the 7th, striking out the first two batters and forced a pop-up to end the game. Coyotes win 4-2.

With the win, the Coyotes are now tied with Rider and four other teams for second place in District 5-4a.
