SAFB Furloughs Reduced

The Military funding cuts are forcing some civilian employees at Sheppard Force Base to be furloughed because of sequestering cuts.

However, the number of days civilian employees would lose work has been reduced from 11 days to six.

The cuts started back in June and now it appears the final furlough day for most workers will be next week.

It's all part of the automatic spending cuts that began earlier this year.
