Surveillance Footage For Hotel Robbery

Surveillance footage of two people who robbed the Holiday Inn at the Falls, was received from the Wichita Falls Police Department Wednesday.  It happened around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning and it was the same hotel that was robbed Monday morning.

Wichita Falls Police Sgt. Harold McClure said two men entered the hotel.  One of them had what appeared to be a 2x4, the other, with a metal pipe.  One of them reportedly jumped over the counter and got an unknown amount of cash.  The other robber confronted an employee who was later taken to the hospital.

The men left the scene on foot but witnesses said they may have gotten into a dark-colored sedan.  Sgt. McClure said it's possible the two robberies could be connected.

Monday morning's robbery happened around 1:15 a.m.  Police said one man entered the hotel, hopped the counter and threatened an employee with a crowbar.  The robber took off on foot with an unknown amount of money.

He is described as having a stocky build and stands approximately 5'8". The man was wearing black pants and a light-colored coat at the time of the robbery.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Police are still working to get any surveillance footage showing the first robbery.  If you have any information, call police at (940) 761-7792.
