Posted: Updated:

A man pleaded guilty in the 30th District Court in Wichita Falls on Thursday.

Kyle Adams was sentenced to ten years in prison and 10 year probation.  In addition, Adams was fined $750 and has to have a breathalyzer device in his vehicle for 6 months after serving his sentence.

He was charged with intoxication assault for an accident that happened on Kell and Taft Blvd. last October.

Police suspected that he was drunk when he was driving the pick-up truck before ramming into a patrol car.

Sergeant Danny Wiggins was in the patrol vehicle and was taken to the hospital, but he was responsive at the scene.
