Mother's Day Business for Retail Flower Shops

Mother's Day gifts can be a real struggle for husbands and children each year. But many can agree flowers are always a safe go-to gift. 72% of gift givers last year purchased flowers for Mother's Day. And just for that reason, retail flower shops offer custom arrangements to cater to each woman's taste.

Annie Hamm, owner of Mother Earth Flower Shop says, "flowers put a smile on your face. When you see someone who gets a bouquet of flowers their face lights up and they're so happy and you know that they're loved and cared for."

Mother's Day is one of the busiest times of the year for flower shops. However, many have been closing their doors due to large business corporations selling flowers for a cheaper price.

"Walmart just has packages and stuff they get in boxes where as a retail flower shop they actually take the time to design a special bouquet for that special person" says Hamm.

Retail flower shops offer a variety of flower choices, personal arrangements and convenient delivery services that many loyal customers prefer. Some customers call Mother Earth Flower shop each year to send corsages to their moms, while others living out of state ask for flowers to be delivered to their mothers living in Texoma.

Customers who prefer retail flower shops hope that these stores will stay open and say custom flowers arrangements are the perfect gift choice.
