Court Date Pushed Back

The court date for one of the suspects in the Bridwell Park shooting has been pushed back.

Joshua Lee Mclelland was expected to appear in the 89th District Court on Thursday for a suppression hearing on a drug charge.

The 22-year-old is behind bars in connection with the June 13th shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

MCClelland was arrested last month in the 900th block of Airport Dr after authorities received an anonymous tip.  He is charged with Tampering With Evidence after removing gun shell casings from the scene of the shooting.  His bond is set at $100,000.

The other suspect, Treven Shamar Culp, was arrested after being pulled over for a traffic violation.  Authorities searched his vehicle and found meth.

Cult is charged with Aggravated Assault and Manufactured/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Over 4g Under 200mg in a Drug Free Zone.

A Hispanic man was the victim of the shooting and was taken to United Regional to be treated for one gunshot wound.

McClelland's hearing is now scheduled for next week.

Since the 1950's the Wichita County Mounted Patrol Rodeo brought in crowds from all across Texoma. After unexpectedly shutting down in 2011 due to financial issues it is coming back and better than ever. Former Steer Wrestling World Champion Mickey Gee told me there is nothing better than a Texas rodeo. The Wichita county native spent many years attending the WCMP Rodeo with his father and knew when the gates closed in 2011 he had to do something to bring it back.
