Lake levels saw a slight gain for the week of June 10th.
The Wichita Falls Public Works Department has measured both Lake Arrowhead and Lake Kickapoo at the following:
The combined total for both lakes is measured at 38.2%.
Only Lake Kickapoo gained over last week when levels measured 37.2%. Lake Arrowhead stayed the same.
Even though only one of the lakes saw an increase, the overall total still edged higher over the last recorded measurement on June 3rd.
The combined total last week was listed at 37.8%.
A Texoma church is teaching their community how to grow food with a community garden. Park Place Christian Church members created the first five of 20 plots for their garden on Saturday. People can buy a plot for a fee of $50 a year. They can plant whatever fruits or vegetables they want. The water is included in the purchase and so is the netting provides shade to the crops.
