Rock Against Violence!

Posted: Updated:

First Step, Inc. is preparing now for its annual Rock Against Violence fundraising event!

This year's event will take place Saturday, June 29 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The fundraiser will be held at the Big Lots parking lot in Wichita Falls.

There is no entry fee to attend the event. Representatives of the organization ask people to donate what they can. Food will be sold to raise money, so people should come hungry!

First Step, Inc. offers free assistance to victims of domestic violence across Texoma (spanning 12 counties). The purpose of the fundraiser is to be able to continue supplying their services – free of charge – to the public. Organizers this year hope to surpass all previous year's fundraising totals.

Elizabeth Pando, with First Step, Inc. was a guest on Newschannel 6 Saturday morning. To learn more about Saturday's event or to read more about First Step, Inc., watch the video posted above.
