Firework Restrictions

As the 4th of July approaches Wichita County Officials wanted to make sure all residents are clear with the rules regarding fireworks.

Fireworks can only be shot off from private property with the owner's permission. It is illegal to shoot fireworks from within the city limits unless they are approved by the city.

Failure to comply with these restrictions could result in a fine of up to $500.00. Violating the law is considered a class C misdemeanor.

Also remember to use caution when using fireworks over the holiday weekend.
