WF Water Rates Rising?

Posted: Updated:

Wichita Falls Water customers are likely about to see a rate increase for water.
The City Council will meet Tuesday and are expected to approve an 8.5% increase. Part of the increase will help to finance the Emergency Water Reuse Project. The other part will pay for a state mandated program that requires water mains to be flushed monthly.

The average customer would see their bill rise right at $3.00. The increase would take affect in the first billing period in September. Newschannel 6 will be at the City Council meeting Tuesday to see if the rate increase is passed.
