Blacksox 15U Start 2-0 at World Series

The Burkburnett Blacksox 15U team is competing at the AABC Ken Griffey, Jr. World Series this week in Surprise, Arizona.

The Blacksox got off to a strong start on Tuesday, the first day of competition.

Sedrick Brown of Vernon threw a no-hitter as the Blacksox defeated Arizona 520 Elite 7-0.

Then, the Blacksox beat Albuquerque Baseball Academy 6-0 behind a strong performance from Stamford's Ligon West.

The Blacksox play the West NY Tigers Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. (MST) to continue pool play.
