United Regional officials confirmed Wednesday afternoon the 17-year-old teenager involved in a late night crash is in good condition.
His Jeep Cherokee hit a curb and then a tree at the corner of Missile Rd. and Castle Dr. around 10:00p.m. Tuesday night.
Authorities used the jaws of life and removed the teen drive from the vehicle. He was the only person in the Jeep.
Sergeant John Spragins said the teenager's injuries were serious, but not life threatening. He suffered an injury to his leg. The teen was taken to United Regional Hospital.
Accident investigators were on the scene to determine what caused the accident. Sgt. Spragins said speed was the main factor in the accident.
