Man Up And Mentor

Man Up And Mentor

The first day of school is just around the corner and the Big Brothers Big Sisters has approximately 70 boys on their waiting list.  All are looking for a positive male role model in their lives.

During the month of August their goal is to find 30 men in the community to mentor 30 boys.

The kids that are being mentored are less likely to skip school, use drugs, and engage in underage drinking.  The kids are more likely to have healthy relationships, self-confidence and a sense of future.

The moment someone becomes a mentor to a child, the experience is a success.  It is all about giving a boy a little bit of your time on a regular basis.

You don't have to change your life to change a child's.  You just include them in your normal every day activities such as a football game, basketball game, going to the park, or maybe a quick lunch.

If you would like to see what the program is all about, head to Buffalo Wild Wings on August 8th for a Wing Eating Contest.
