Weekend News Anchor/Reporter

KAUZ-TV, in Wichita Falls, TX, is seeking a Weekend News Anchor/Reporter. Responsibilities include prepare, write and edit scripts for assigned newscasts and supervise assigned newscast crew to carry out station mission. Qualified candidate will be responsible for the overall presentation of the assigned newscast, oversee all aspects of the newscast including story development and story selection, video and graphics selection, live reports, and timing and produce special reports, cut-ins and special news programming as needed, and  conduct other duties in news reporting as required. We are looking for a team player with excellent writing and communication skills and knowledge of legal issues involving broadcast journalism. Strong on-air skills and the ability to handle deadline pressure are essential.  A degree in broadcast journalism and experience reporting TV News with an emphasis on live anchoring and reporting and using social media to reach viewers is a must. Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
