WalMart Incident Leads To Teen’s Arrest

Posted: Updated:

An 18-year-old driver is arrested following an incident at the WalMart on Lawrence Road in Wichita Falls.

Newschannel 6 is working to learn more information about the incident that happened Saturday around 10:30 p.m.

Wichita County Sheriff David Duke told our crew on the scene a Honda CR-V was speeding through the WalMart parking lot, forcing a large group of people near the entrance of the store to jump out of the vehicle's way. That's reportedly when sheriff's deputies followed the vehicle on Kell East to McNeil and onto Kell West, stopping near the corner of Colquit Road and Revere Avenue off of Kell West.

Sheriff Duke told Newschannel 6 the teen driver was arrested for evading and taken to jail.

Officials said the incident began when the 18-year-old egged a car in the WalMart parking lot. At the time of the arrest, we're told sheriff's deputies were still trying to locate the egged car.

Stay with Newschannel 6 as we work to learn the driver's identity and the latest details concerning this developing story.
