Arrest Made In Dual Investigation

A man has now been charged for a stabbing turned into an arson investigation Wednesday morning.

John Henry Ramos, 39, was charged with Aggravated Assault and his bond was set at $100,000.

Wichita Falls Police were called to the 1600 block of Monroe Street just before 5:30 a.m.   Police Sergeant Danny Wiggins told our crew on scene the original call was for a stabbing.  

When officials arrived, a residence was on fire.  Wichita Falls firefighters were able to extinguish the flames. 

A 51-year-old man was taken to United Regional Hospital. Police said he was stabbed once in the back.  His condition is not known at this time.

Police said one person is detained as a suspect.  They expect an arrest in this case.  At last report, arson and criminal investigators were on scene.
