If you plan to vote in the November elections the Wichita County Clerk wants to make sure you understand the new identification laws.
Photo identification will now be required for voting in person.
"We are working to make sure our voters understand the new I.D. requirements and have all the information they need to cast their ballots," Lori Bohannon, County Clerk and Voter Resistor said.
A voter will be required to show one of the following forms of photo identification at the polling location before the cotter is allowed to cast a vote:
- Texas Driver's License
- Texas Election Identification Certificate
- Texas Personal Identification Card
- Texas Concealed Handgun License
- United States Military Identification Card
- United States Photograph
- United States Citizenship Certificate
You must make sure the name on your voter registration is the same as your I.D.
