Wichita Falls Man Dies In I-44 Wreck

Posted: Updated:

A Wichita Falls man died from injuries he sustained in a car accident.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said the car was following too closely behind the truck and ended up rear ending the truck.

Then the truck veered off road and hit the center barrier.

OHP troopers said Clarence Eugene Bishop, 80, was a passenger in a car that rear-ended a pickup on I-44 in Cotton County Monday night.

Troopers said the car went off the road and hit the center barrier. The driver was a woman from Burkburnett.  She was taken to a hospital in fair condition.

Bishop died around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday at United Regional Hospital.
