Organizers are preparing now for the third annual Wichita County Sheriff's Office Citizen's Alumni Association Car Show! The goal of the event is to fund a County Officer's Down Memorial to display on the courthouse lawn.
The event this year will take place on September 7. The event begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. The entry fee is only $10. The car show will happen at Red River Harley Davidson in Wichita Falls (NW 287 at City View Drive). Vendor space costs $25. Checks should be made payable to WCSOCAA and mailed to Jeff Coley by Saturday, August 31.
A number of cars will be awarded choice awards. These include the "People Choice Award" (by donation), "Sheriff's Choice Award," and "Grooviest Entry Award." The grooviest award is sponsored by Groovy Airbrush.

The event will happen in coordination with another WCSOCAA event happening the same day. The organization's motorcycle fun run will begin earlier that Saturday at 8 a.m. at Eddie Hills Fun Cycles. It is located at 401 North Scott in Wichita Falls. The first bike is scheduled to be out at 9 a.m.
The cost to participate is $30 for bike and rider, and $15 per passenger. The price includes a T-shirt, goody bag, food or drinks at all stops, and more. Texomans who participate should/can pay the morning of the event.
Registration and the beginning of the fun run takes place at Eddie Hills Fun Cycles. There are five stops in total. They are listed below:
1. First Stop: Lakeside Travel Plaza (1501 N. Pacific Ave., Iowa Park)
2. Second Stop: Pump City Diner (209 W. Cleveland, Electra)
3. Third Stop: Hayes General Store (401 E. 3rd Street, Burkburnett)
4. Fourth Stop: G&S Suzuki (1001 Scott, Wichita Falls)
5. Fifth/Final Stop: Red River Harley Davidson (US 287 at City View Drive, Wichita Falls)
*Note: The motorcycle fun run will end at Red River Harley Davidson for the car show. The public is encouraged to attend both events.
