SUV Crashes Into School

A SUV crashed into Cunningham Elementary School Monday morning, sending the driver to the hospital. Wichita Falls Police said the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee was going southbound on McNeil Avenue.

Witnesses say the 74-year-old man was driving erratically and ran through a stop sign. The driver was taken to United Regional with non-life threatening injuries.

Cunningham Elementary said on their website the cause of the accident was a medical condition of the driver. 3rd and 4th grade students will be moved to another part of the building while the district evaluates that wing of the building. Those students are being asked to report to the cafeteria Tuesday morning for further instructions.
