Red River Valley Square Dance Assoc. Celebrate 50 Years!

The Red River Valley Square and Round Dance Association will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Saturday, September 21.

The event will start at 6:30 p.m. with dancing beginning at 7:30 p.m. The celebration will conclude with skits during an after party from 10 – 11 p.m. Festivities take place at Square Dance Land, 812 Travis Street, in Wichita Falls.

In the wake of the organization's Golden Year celebration, the Red River Valley Square and Round Dancing Association reminds Texomans about the opportunity to take part in square dancing lessons.

Beginning Monday, the Red River Valley Square and Round Dance Association (RRVA) will hold a fall session of lessons, one night per week. The course begins September 16 and ends December 16; a total of 14 dance lessons. Lessons take place Mondays from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Adults: $30

Children (17 & Under): $15 (children must be accompanied by an adult)

The first two lessons are free, but participants must pay the fee by the third lesson.
