City Considers Future Of Lake Wichita

The Lake Wichita Study Committee is taking suggestions from the community on how to redevelop the area around the lake.

Committee Head Steve Garner met with the League of Women Voters Wednesday, just one of his stops presenting his ideas and taking suggestions from residents.

"We're not going to be able to entertain everyone, but what we're going to try to do is entertain as many as we can," said Garner, listing restaurants, entertainment areas, wildlife observation, and recreational activities as just some of the things the committee would like to see in the area.

You can submit your ideas about redeveloping Lake Wichita by emailing ourlakeourlife@att.net.

The committee will gather all of the viable suggestions into a full plan to present to the Wichita Falls City Council. Once they have an approved project, they will move on to figure out funding.
