Body Identified In Lawton’s 13th Homicide

We now to the identification of the woman found buried in a backyard in Lawton.

Medical examiners in Oklahoma City confirmed she is Claudine Marroquin.

The 36-year-old is the city's 13th homicide of the year.

Lawton police were called out to the 1700 block of north west Irwin Wednesday night to investigate a missing person report.  After searching the house and the yard, detectives found what appeared to be a body buried in the yard.

Authorities went back to the scene early Thursday morning because there was more light and confirmed what they discovered was a corpse.

The investigation is still ongoing and no cause of death has been determined at this time.
