A Marlow teenager charged with first degree murder is due back in court Thursday afternoon.
Stevens County Court records show Michael Ray is scheduled for a post competency hearing evaluation.
Ray's attorney requested the exam for the 16-year-old.
He is accused of stabbing Alyssa Wiles to death in her bedroom in Duncan back in June.
The young girl was found dead in her home on June 10th, 2013. Duncan Police Chief Ford said Wiles was stabbed multiple times with a kitchen knife.
Chief Ford said Ray confessed on June 11th and he took authorities to an area where a portion of the murder weapon was found. Ray also attempted to destroy evidence by burning the clothes he was wearing and ran them over with a lawn mower.
Ray, a former boyfriend, pleaded not guilty and is being tried as an adult.
A 13-year-old who acted as a look out during the killing has been charged as an accessory to the murder. His identity has not been released.
