David Baird, 63, is charged with the murder of his wife Claudine Marroquin, 36. Prosecutors said he suffocated her then buried her body in the backyard of a home on the 1700 block of North West Irwin.

Her body was found under an above ground swimming pool. She had been missing for several days.

Baird is facing a list of charges including first degree murder and unlawful removal of a body. He pleaded not guilty and asked the court to appoint a lawyer. He's being held at Comanche County jail on a $1 million dollar bond.
