Lawton Man Charged In Wife's Murder

There are developments in Lawton's 13th homicide of the year.

David Baird, 63, is charged with the murder of his wife Claudine Marroquin, 36. Prosecutors said he suffocated her then buried her body in the backyard of a home on the 1700 block of North West Irwin.

Her body was found under an above ground swimming pool. She had been missing for several days.

Baird is facing a list of charges including first degree murder and unlawful removal of a body. He pleaded not guilty and asked the court to appoint a lawyer. He's being held at Comanche County jail on a $1 million dollar bond.
