Flu In Wichita Falls

Posted: Updated:

We are just weeks away from the official start of flu season, but now Wichita Falls health officials said we already have flu activity.  Health officials also said there has been an increase in emergency room visits because of respiratory illness.

The Wichita Falls/Wichita County Public Health District are encouraging anyone who has not received a flu vaccine to get one as soon as possible.

Starting Monday, the flu vaccines will be available on a walk-in basis.  The cost of the shot ranges from $3.50 to $35.

If you have any questions you should call your health district.
