Week 3: Player of the Week Nominees!

So, with another great weekend of high school football in the books, it's time to name 3 nominees for our Texas-Ford Player of the Week!

First up, is Electra's Michael Bishop. The senior dual-threat quarterback, was 6/10 for 57 yards passing, but had 23 carries for 400 yards and 6 touchdowns on the ground in the Tigers 45-34 win over Haskell.

Next is, Mitchell Parsley from Crowell. He was 15/19 passing for 352 yards and 8 TD's and added another 62 yards rushing on 11 carries for another TD. He was pivotal in the Wildcats 78-40 win over 3rd-ranked Valley.

And, last but not least, we have Iowa Park's Derrick Ponder. The sophomore quarterback was 8/16 passing for 225 yards and 5 touchdowns in the Hawks big 52-13 win over Mineral Wells.

Voting ends at midnight Tuesday night, and we'll announce the winner Wednesday on Newschannel 6 at 6!
