Driver Strikes Pole Leaving Residents Without Power

A driver who struck a pole in Wichita Falls, leaving some residents without power, has been arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Police on scene told our crew it happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday night on Jacksboro Highway.

Police said a driver drove his vehicle into a pole and then left the scene of the accident.

The driver was eventually stopped on 30th Street and arrested for D-W-I.

Police on scene said there were some power outages, but didn't know exact numbers, or when power was expected to be restored.
