HS Football Rankings Roundup: Week 3

In the latest AP Texas High School football poll, the Graham Steers take over the #6 spot in Class 3A all alone, breaking a tie with Stephenville.

The Steers received 111 points in the poll, including a first-place vote, up from 101 last week.

Stephenville received 93 votes this week, after tying the Steers with 101 in the last poll.

The Rider Raiders are the only other Texoma team receiving mention in the ranking, getting three votes in Class 4A.

Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine has the Raiders a little higher, ranking them 11th in their latest weekly rankings. That's unchanged from the previous week after Rider had a bye along with the rest of District 5-4A.

DCTF has Graham 7th, a spot behind Stephenville, while the Vernon Lions moved from #24 up two spots to 22nd.

Among Texoma 6-Man playing teams, Throckmorton is ranked #1 in Division I by both DCTF and the website SixManFootball.com, while several other local teams are ranked.

Crowell is 3rd in the magazine's rankings and 4th from the website, while Knox City remained 9th in the magazine but fell to 12th on the website.

Newcastle moved up one spot to 3rd in the dot-com computer rankings, while jumping two spots to 4th in Dave Campbell's.

Notre Dame is #1 in TAPPS 6M-Division two on the website rankings, which split private schools into divisions, while the Knights are 3rd in the magazine rankings, which group all 6-man private schools together.
