Burkburnett 2nd graders at I.C. Evans Elementary School made the Switch to 6 on Wednesday.

Newschannel 6 Anchor Ashley Fitzwater was invited to speak to the group of 80 students about the importance of writing and how a newscast is put together.

The children even put on a small newscast for their classmates to show what it's really like in the studio and newsroom.

After the presentation was Q & A and Fitzwater said many of the students were reporters in training. They had great questions.

She had a lot of fun and even brought along Newschannel 6 Super Radar.

He got lots of hugs from the students and also had a blast! Thanks again to the teachers for the invite and making the Switch to 6.
