Vernon: Drought Forces Tougher Restrictions

The city of Vernon is putting stricter rules in place to help save the water supply it has left.

Vernon officially went into Stage 4 Water Restrictions Tuesday.

This new set of guidelines "prohibits irrigation by any means other than buckets or hand held hose, and prohibits outdoor property washing."

Stage 4 was triggered when Vernon's water wells started pumping 30% less water than the usual capacity.
