Accused Killer In Court

Posted: Updated:

A Texoma teenager accused of killing his 14-year-old ex-girlfriend made his first appearance in the Stephens County courtroom on Thursday.

Michael Ray is being tried as an adult on a First Degree charge.

On Thursday lawyers filed a motion to see what the other side had so that way there are no surprises when the trial begins.

Last week Ray's attorney entered a motion to certify the 16-year-old as a juvenile, but it was denied.

Ray confessed to the stabbing of his ex-girlfriend Alyssa Wiles.

Following an evaluation in June, he was found competent for trial.
