2nd West Nile Case Confirmed

A woman is in the hospital and is the second person this year to test positive for West Nile in Wichita Falls.

Wichita County health Officials said the report for a 28-year-old woman who has been traveling between Fort Worth and Wichita Falls came back on Tuesday evening.  Her case is severe and she developed meningitis following her diagnosis of West Nile. 

Health officials told us it is unusual to see cases of West Nile this late in the year.
