Taylor Barnes

Taylor Barnes joined the Newschannel 6 news team as a reporter in October 2013.

Taylor graduated from the University of North Texas in August 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Education.  She is a Houston native who is excited to be back in the North Texas area.

While attending the University of North Texas, she became involved in various organizations such as NTTV, KNTU, the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), the Eagle Ambassador Program, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Prior to coming to Wichita Falls, Taylor had the opportunity to intern at KTRK Channel 13 in Houston and enjoyed working alongside many of the reporters she grew up watching.

Taylor loves being active, and when she is not reporting she enjoys traveling, playing tennis, swimming, dancing, and shopping with friends.

Taylor is thrilled to be in Texoma and can't wait to meet new people and explore her new surroundings!
