Hirschi quarterback Terrance Cooper took home our Texas Ford Player of the Week award for Week 8 by receiving 13,300 votes, good for over 56% of the total vote.
Cooper ran for 138 yards and three touchdowns Friday night at Iowa Park, rallying the Huskies to a 49-28 win that clinched their first playoff appearance since 2006! He also threw for 71 yards in the win.
He took the crown ahead of Vernon's David Garza and Jacksboro's D.J. Thomas, who was nominated for the second-straight week.
Thursday night the Huskies have a chance to win at least a share of the District 5-3A title when they host the #4 Graham Steers at 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
