PEACH SPRINGS, Ariz., Oct. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Visitors to the Grand Canyon Skywalk recently received an unexpected visit by the undead gifted with the rhythmic talent of dance. In the spirit of Halloween, Grand Canyon Resort Corporation (GCRC) invited dance troupe Hot Lava Dancers to perform on the glass bridge and entertain guests and staff alike.
The event was planned and executed by a talented team of individuals:
"We wanted to do something fun and exciting," said GCRC Marketing Director Dawnielle Tehama. "Our Grand Canyon Skywalk continues to demonstrate its ability to transform into an entertainment venue."
The project was months in the making and restricted to a few members of the creative team and GCRC staff. Video taken from the event has been released via the organization's various social media channels. Individuals are encouraged to share with their friends and family. About Grand Canyon Resort Corporation
Grand Canyon Resort Corporation (GCRC) is wholly-owned by the Hualapai Indian Tribe and is located in Peach Springs, Arizona. In 1988, the Hualapai Indian Tribe, which has occupied the land since 1883, established GCRC, welcoming millions of visitors each year to tour the area, including the nearby lodge, ranch, river rafting company and Grand Canyon West. To further increase tourism in the area, the Grand Canyon Skywalk was built in 2007. The Skywalk is a glass, horseshoe-shaped bridge that enables visitors to walk beyond the canyon walls at Grand Canyon West, suspending them 4,000 feet above the riverbed and providing an unparalleled view of this natural wonder.
