After another great weekend of high school football, it's now time to name 3 nominees for our Texas-Ford Player of the Week.
First up, is Jacksboro's David Stretcher. He caught nine passes on Friday night for 156 yards and 2 TD's. He also carried the rock twice for 23 yards and a TD, plus he had 2 interceptions on defense, one of which he took back 100 yards for the score. He was a key factor in the Tigers 60-26 win over Nocona.
Next, is Newcastle's Tyler Mays. He was a one man wrecking crew on Friday night. He was 3/3 passing for 123 yards and 2 TD's. He also carried the ball 3 times for 71 yards and 2 TD's. Plus, he had 2 interceptions on defense, both of which he took back for TD's. He did all of this in the 1st half of the Bobcats 61-8 win over Goldburg.
And last, but not least, we have Seymour's Cody Adams. He also had a big game on Friday night. He had 4 catches for 184 yards and 3 TD's. That's 46 yards per reception! He also added an interception on defense in the Panthers 43-36 win over Archer City.
