Dr Pepper Game of the Week: Week 10

This week's Dr Pepper Game of the Week is a rivalry that is certainly one of the best in the entire state of Texas.

Rider faces Wichita Falls High School, and in addition to the usual city-wide bragging rights, this game will decide the top seed in the 4A D-II playoff bracket!

The senior class at Rider High has gone undefeated against Old High during their high school career. The Raiders will try to make it 4 straight against the Coyotes on Friday night. But, this isn't the same Coyote team that we've seen in year's past.

After going just 13-47 since 2008, the Coyotes are over .500 this late in the year for the first time in 6 seasons.

A playoff spot is already guaranteed for the Pack, but beating their arch rival in their last game of the season would prove to be a huge momentum for the Coyotes entering the playoffs!

The team that wins this game is the top seed in the faces Saginaw Boswell (6-3) in the first round of the playoffs but likely would have to face #1 Aledo (of "bullying" fame) in the Area round if they advance.

The loser of this game faces 9-0 Dunbar in the Bi-District round.

Check back all week to hear from the players and coaches on both teams!
