Seymour's Adams Takes Player of the Week

Cody Adams of the Seymour Panthers took home the Texas Ford Player of the Week honors for Week 9, edging out Jacksboro's David Stretcher and Newcastle's Tyler Mays.

Adams, a senior who is committed to play baseball at Stephen F. Austin State University, caught four passes Friday night, for 184 yards and three touchdowns. He also intercepted a pass on defense in the Panthers' hard-fought 43-36 win over a game Archer City team.

The game was the final contest of the regular season for Seymour, who has a Week-10 bye followed by a first-round playoff bye. Last season they had the same situation, and came out rusty in their Area playoff game, which they lost to Panhandle.
