Area Athletes Sign College Scholarships

Three Texoma athletes signed college scholarships to play on the diamond Wednesday.

Burkburnett's Kylee Trahan signed to play softball at Louisiana-Lafayette. The senior finished 19-4 with an even 1.00 ERA and 356 strikeouts in her junior season as a Lady Bulldog, helping the team to the Class 3A State Tournament and being named TGCA All-State for the second-straight season.

Wichita Falls High School's Delaney Bedunah also signed Wednesday, to NCAA Division II Ouachita Baptist University. She told Newschannel 6 she's excited to play for a team that frequently faces hometown Midwestern State, so some of her friends and family will be able to see her play.

And Seymour's Cody Adams signed to play baseball at Stephen F. Austin State University. Adams had a 1.79 ERA over the past two seasons at Seymour, striking out 186 opposing batters. At the plate, he batted .386 with 20 extra-base hits and 36 RBI.
