Body Identified In Deadly Fire Investigation

Wichita Falls Police have identified the victim in a deadly two-alarm fire that happened Thursday, November 14th, 2013.

They said the victim was 60-year-old Andrea Madrid.  He died from smoke inhalation.

Fire officials are still investigating the fire happened in the 1700 Block of 7th Street.

Wichita Falls Fire Dept. said the fire started just after midnight Thursday at two-story apartment building. Firefighters were able to contain the flames about 30 minutes after it started. An official on scene said one person was killed in the two-alarm fire.

The cause of the death, and the cause of the fire are still under investigation.  The identity and gender of the victim have not been released yet.  Damages have been estimated at $30,000.

Arson investigators, Wichita Falls Police, and Wichita Falls Fire Dept. responded to the scene.
