The Wichita Falls Firefighters Association presented a check to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
This check was for the signature pink t-shirt sales throughout the month of October.
The Wichita Falls firefighters sold these t-shirts to raise breast cancer awareness and one shared with us how successful this years event has been.
"We've been raising money through the month of October selling these pink t-shirts. This year we've actually had a record setting year. We've raised over $20,000 which has beat the previous years by over $5,000 so it's been a great year. Friday we're presenting the checks to American Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen of Wichita Falls. So we're gonna present their checks to them and get it going," Josh Scarbough said.
This is the 6th year firefighters have joined in the battle against breast cancer.
